Kyrie and Jacob’s Special Day

From first meeting Kyrie and Jacob I could tell they were such a warm and caring couple and upon hearing about Kyrie’s voluntary work for Alzheimer’s society, putting in a lot of hard work with services for people with dementia, this only confirmed my initial thoughts.  

On hand was a host of wonderful suppliers which made sure the day ran smoothly, from the morning preparations of hair and makeup by Lauren Laprell to the evening celebrations by the Backbeat band.

Jacob and Alexandra- Our Childhood Sweethearts

Alexandra looked a stunning sight as she made her way down the Manor’s staircase in her beautiful gown. Draping behind her was the most gorgeous long veil, complemented by some fabulous green shoes which supported the Irish contingency and theme that ran throughout the wedding. The Irish theme was evident in the wedding, from Groom Jacob’s green suit, to the guests attending the wedding.

Victoria & Neil With Their Little Boy Ernie

The big day had arrived and everything was in place for the wedding to commence.

Victoria and Neil were having their ceremony in the barn – a popular choice, and had the aisle set up so as Victoria steps through the grand barn doors, she walked diagonally and towards the corner of the barn.The 22 piece band, Lofthouse Brass Band, was ready and waiting for the imminent entrance of the bride. (The band which I thought was a 2 piece band but found out it was actually a 22 piece only a few days before the wedding!)

Kate’s 50th Birthday Celebration

The 50th Birthday party held on Friday the 21st October 2016, was a huge success for the birthday girl Kate and everyone had a brilliant time.

Kate had decorated the barn with spectacular art work she had cleverly made herself. There was a flamingo standing proud in the grounds, and not one but two life sized Betty Boops with the usual pout and assets greeting you as you entered the barn.

Mr & Mrs Stephenson

Today on the blog we're looking back at the wonderful wedding of Kate Long and Robert Stephenson. Luckily the rain held off as the couple tied the knot under our beautiful Lych gate, which was decorated with an array of colourful flowers, arranged by Rachel Slater at Owl House Flowers.

Pre planning of a wedding takes away the stress and last minute decisions. And that is exactly what the wedding fair, held here at Hornington Manor did for many brides and grooms, who attended on Sunday 23rd October 2016.
