In the week leading up to Ruairi and Michelle’s celebration, the weather took a turn for the worse, becoming increasingly colder and greyer as the weekend approached. Luckily, as the morning of their wedding arrived, the sun burst into colour, just like our wonderful wedding barn did after Michelle, her family and friends had worked their magic decorating it the day before. They had filled the barn with a beautiful display of flowers, featuring all the colours of the rainbow, with matching lanterns which perfectly complemented the colourful theme. It looked stunning!

 

 

Ruairi and Michelle arrived from the church in a beautiful vintage car and walked their guest through the West Wing onto the front lawn where drinks and canapés were served, accompanied by the fantastic guitar duo Matt and Marcel.

 

 

 

The celebrations later moved into the wedding barn, where a wonderful Indian banquet was served courtesy of Shammin. After the endearing speeches, the ceilidh band started, making sure that all the guests were out of their seats, dancing and excited about the evening celebrations ahead.

Next came the cutting of the unbelievably delicious wedding cake by Miss Friday. Every layer was a different flavour – red velvet, fresh raspberry and vanilla, carrot and cream cheese, and lemon drizzle! The evening street food was set up on the front lawn, where everyone was able to enjoy the panoramic view over the HaHa wall,  whilst giving the children a chance for a game of tag.

 

 

As the evening came to a close, it seemed like every single guest was exhausted, having danced the night away on the dance floor with DJ Boon and enjoying being with our happy couple.

I can honestly say Michelle never stopped laughing, smiling and dancing. I hope their marriage will always be full of fun and laughter, just like their wedding day. Congratulation to you both!
