For some couples, it’s all about the details. And that couldn’t be truer for Becky and Ben’s autumnal wedding. They chose to hold their civil ceremony in the beautiful Hornington Gallery and it was transformed with the most beautiful white blossom trees towering above the bride and groom as they said their vows. Louise Pawson from Fox Tail photography captured the moment perfectly.

Guests were given a copy of the Daily Prophet newspaper from Harry Potter and Becky and Ben had made front page news! It was such a fab idea, filled with all the information for the day, images of the happy couple and some special thanks to family and friends.

Becky’s colour scheme saw light dusky pinks and creams contracted with bold burgundy and it worked wonderfully. Becky wore a pale pink lace dress with capped sleeves and a beautiful sparkly gold waistband. Her hair piece was a stunning flower garland of light pink and burgundy roses.

Her bridesmaids wore the same shade of burgundy in dresses of different designs with similar flower garlands. Their bouquets, were curtesy of Katherine from Fleur Adamo and they saw bright red roses alongside thistles and of course white and dusky pink shades, tide together with burgundy ribbon.

Becky’s Bridesmaids- Hannah, Sarah, Jessie, Aby and Hope, channeled Hermione Granger as they all wore beautiful golden Time Turner necklaces. They wrapped up from the cold November air with stunning tartan blankets- the tartan design was the Bride’s father and is called Hunton Buchanan.

The groom, Ben, and his groomsmen- Scott, Tim, Finn and Prav, wore burgundy shirts and tartan waistcoats with silk detailing on the back. Their button holes tied in with Becky’s bouquet and the over effect was amazing!

The careful detailing continued into the wedding barn. Burgundy paper flower pom poms were hung from the wall lights and their top table, named Song of Ice and Fire, was decorated with burgundy and cream bunting.

Each table was named after Becky and Ben’s favorite books- Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Interview with a Vampire, A Game of Thrones, to name a few. The centerpiece on each table saw a vase, with a scene from the book created from newspaper, inside, and gin and rum bottles filled with flowers.

Their background music was soundtracks from Becky and Ben’s favorite films, and the guest enjoyed this while they were tucking into the wedding breakfast. The fabulous Hog and Apple served a Ploughman’s sharing platter for starters, complete with pork pies, cheese, ham hock and pate. Main was roast beef and Yorkshire puds with all the veg!

For pudding, Becky and Ben’s friends and family had all made cakes, brownies, flapjacks and cheesecakes which were very well received! The star of the show was an incredible rainbow unicorn cake made by guest Kay who assembled it at Hornington to make sure it wasn’t damaged in transit!

Ben took to the stage and performed a few songs for his wife Becky which was extra emotional as it was a complete surprise to her! She watched on tearfully, as did all of the guests and it was such a special and touching moment.

As night fell, the wedding party made their way to the courtyard with sparklers to round of the most magical day.

Congratulations to Becky and Ben and thank you for choosing to have your special wedding weekend with us at Horningon Manor!
