Back in December Hornington Manor witnessed the glorious wedding of Vicky and James. Who wed to become Mr & Mrs Key.

There is nothing more amazing than seeing the bride all ready for the big day ahead dressed in her wedding gown. Vicky was no different, with a stunning dress on from Abigail’s Bridal Boutique, in Leeds. The groom looked equally as impressive in his suit from Anthony Sinclair in Marylebone.

The couple started off their big day at the local church to Hornington Manor, Bolton Percy. The church always proves a popular choice for our couples due to its close proximity to the manor and its beautiful surroundings. I especially love all the pictures of the happy couples leaving the church after saying their vows.

Chloebeth Hamer, graced the drinks reception back at Hornington Manor with her stunning voice, singing renditions of Pie Jesu, ‘Nobody Does it Better’, ‘Over the Rainbow’, ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ and ‘My Way’ in Italian.

Vicky’s father was a tough ex minor, however this didn’t stop him filling up with tears throughout the wedding!

The speeches always have friends and family (and even the Hornington Manor team) in tears and stitches! It’s lovely hearing more out about the bride and groom.  In this case, Vicky the bride had always wanted to be a Spice Girl, but decided to alternatively become a doctor, to which mum and dad were ‘over the moon’.

James alternatively dreamt of being a rally driver, but opted for the more conventional role of lecturer at Barnsley College, teaching fine dining. He was even able to take all his students with him to cook for the Queen’s 90th birthday. They must think he’s the best lecturer ever!

Vicky and James’ proposal wasn’t a low-key occasion. Their parents joined in on their big American tour that James had organised for Vicky and himself. At Magic Kingdom in Disney Land, is where James asked Vicky to marry him, with their parents to celebrate. What a magical proposal!

Our fabulous recommended caterer Ged from Hog and Apple was slightly nervous about this wedding, due to the grooms expertise, as you can imagine! But he need not worry as the food as always, was simply delicious.

Moving aside from the delicious food and heart-warming speeches, guests enjoyed the rest of the night being entertained by KUDOS, a premium, energy-driven pop, soul and dance band. There really was something for everyone!

The happily married couple went on to complete their wedding celebration on their Honeymoon in Iceland, Reykjavik. On behalf of the Hornington Manor team, we wish the newly wed Mr & Mrs Key all the happiness in your new married life.
