A Midsummer Night’s Dream was Naomi’s vision for their wedding at Hornington Manor, a theme full of twinkling lights and pretty flowers. As always I was so excited to see the barn’s transformation, as the bride’s and their little helpers always do such a wonderful job.

With table names of Oboron, Peasblossom, Titania and Moth, you almost expected fairies to pop up on the tables; such was the theme that they had created.

The back drop for the top table was so pretty with a sheer fabric and fairy lights behind with trailing Ivy, and giant pine cones to finish. The rest of the barn featured drapes of ivy and hanging lights – it really was a dream.

The vintage festoon strings and rustic starcloth were provided by Event Light & Sound, who made Naomi’s Midsummer’s Night Dream vision come alive. The barn was set alight by their beautiful vintage Edison lamps strung across the ceiling – pulling the whole theme together wonderfully.

The wedding cake looked delicious and a beautiful sight, with white roses topping it and an icing ‘drape’ flowing down the three tiers.

They had special wedding favours to gift all their wedding guests; bottles of real ale with the recipe designed by Naomi’s Dad and brewed especially for the wedding by Wold Top Brewery. Naomi’s Dad sets up and works with breweries from France to Scotland, using his local breweries for Naomi and Byron’s wedding to make sure everything was kept well and truly Yorkshire based.

The chauffeur driven vintage Rolls Royce, hired from Horsfields of Halifax was so fitting to take the beautiful bride to church, cream to match the rest of the wedding theme, and was even driven by the director of the company!

Our friends are back! Simon, Amanda and I are always so thrilled to find out who the caterers are for each wedding and we were so pleased to find it was Friends 4 Dinner. They had created a banquet fit for a King and Queen with tiger prawns, oysters, suckling pig, such a delicious array; it was a wonderful spectacle to see.

As the evening arrived The Super Models provided the entertainment for the wedding guests and were superb, blasting out hits from The Who and Fleetwood Mac, they really were a treat. Byron even played a set on the guitar for them which was so lovely and a special thing to do on his wedding day for his bride and their guests.

It had been a glorious day for the now pronounced Mr & Mrs Ward, with their Midsummer Night’s Dream being well and truly fulfilled.
