Weddings don’t get much closer to fairytales than that of Natalie and Matthew.

The Hornington Manor wedding barn was decorated with beautiful fresh flowers to compliment the themed colours that ran through the wedding.  Ivy decorated the glorious chandeliers, it all looked amazing!

The day thankfully was rain free, although the forecast said different.

Guests arrived back from Sherburn All Saints church to a sparkling Pimms on the front lawn. A lovely choice for their first celebration drink – all raising a glass to greet the bride and groom who arrived in their horse drawn carriage (which was our first for this year so far!). Natalie looked radiant and Mathew looked equally as handsome as the two arrived in the beautifully turned out horses from Riverside Carriages.

Lots of chatting and catching up with friends and relatives commenced. The drinks were mostly enjoyed on the front lawn, but as the chill set in, the Manor House gave comfort to many until it was time for the feast.

The banquet of amazing food was provided by our wonderful regular caterers, Friends4Dinner, who did a splendid job of fillings the guests up – ready for the fun evening ahead.

Once the food was demolished, the speeches could begin, Nat’s father told of how he was expected to do all the dropping off and collecting of all three siblings, Natalie and her two brothers Phil and Robin, he was soon labelled – Dads Taxi!  He told of how he welcomed Matt into the loving family but warned him of Natalie’s bossy nature with her brothers……that didn’t obviously didn’t deter!

Mathew told of how he and Nat met and grew up together from primary and into secondary school, and in fact had their first kiss in year 8 followed by their first date later in 2007. Matt then lived in Leicester with his career and they travelled 100 miles to see each other – that’s dedication!  They holidayed in Australia and proposed on the sunset beach, which has led to this day’s events.

Matt’s brother Nick had everyone reeling with laughter with his speech, a video was set up showing photographs of the boys growing up with their beloved pets, Barney, Guy, Ruby, the rabbits and the horse –  all giving their own little voice of  appreciation. I promised that I would give Henry and Harry a mention too; our handsome Boris the Alpca had his debut as a film star looking very pompous and grand on the screen! It didn’t matter one little bit that the screen came to a temporary halt as everyone was still laughing with Nick and his repartee.

Then night was entered by the brilliant band Pure Mojo’s, who had everyone up dancing, they made the perfect end to end the perfect day!

We’d like to wish Matt and Natalie all the happiness in the world for their future married life!
