Hornington Manor was delighted to have received a recent visit from the prestigious Sunday night staple program Countryfile.

Hornington Manor is set within the grounds of the Harrison Spinks working farm where crops much as Hemp and Flax are grown and sheep are lovingly cared for in exchange for their fleeces, all used as filling blends in the luxury mattresses made by Harrison Spinks.

Countryfile were particularly interested in this diversification and the idea of ‘growing our own beds’ and arrived in early June, where the Adam Henson and the crew all stayed in the Manor house.

The main interest was the fact that we grow our own fillings, that each year the hemp, flax and wool are all processed locally and transported to the Leeds factory where they go to make the mattress fillings.

The program is scheduled to go out on BBC 1 Countryfile on Sunday 13th July at 6pm, so look for us!
